There was a cardinal
in my lemon tree
sweet scarlet sleek
with honeyed beak.
In rain he sang
of love & thanks
amid spring citrus
& bumblebees.
There was a cardinal
in my lemon tree
his tweets twirled me
in cursive ink
to piqué with grace
& make my peace
in a world now seen
as not so bleak.

Couldn’t not write a poem about that image!

Hawaii is on lockdown starting tomorrow, so I’m soaking in all the fresh air I can around my neighborhood before being housebound again. Looking for the double rainbows like this one today.
That is very divine appreciate you sharing this, peace
